Dear Helenie, I was going through a backlog of emails this morning that had accumulated while we were gone earlier this year and read of your request. I do have a full subscription to Ancestry and have looked at the "Antonia Bores" and "Antonia Boris" information which also included a Mr. Antonia Boris, perhaps a misreading of Antonio for Antonia. I didn't find what you asked for, but there is a John Poelolimsonn, age 40 who is listed as living with Antonia and her family in the 1910 census. The ED# is also 0027 and the Visit is 0281. I think that means that he is living at the same residence. On the transcription it states that she has a non-relative at her residence. And on his record it uses the term (LO) in the column where it tells the relationship to the head. If you can receive long emails, I will forward what I found. There are at least two other researchers who have submitted information and there was also a Bores/Boris family in Massachusetts and Maryland. Am posting this message to both the Armstrong and Butler County lists. John HINDMAN of Concord Township, Butler County, formerly of Franklin Township, Armstrong County, died about June 1862. He left a will (Butler County Will Book D, page 156) in which he named four daughters Elizabeth HUSTIN, Mary WILEY (sic), Sarah CAMPBELL, and Margaret BARR, and son-in-law, William RAMSEY. David J. RUSSELL and Robert W. CAMPBELL were named as executors of the will. Robert W. CAMPBELL was the husband of Sarah CAMPBELL, named above, and David J. RUSSELL was most likely a brother-in-law of John HINDMAN. It took until 1873 for all the inheritance money to be paid to the heirs. In the case of Mary WILEY, payments of $165, plus $21.72 interest representing the last of the $300 willed to Mary WYLIE by John HINDMAN, was made 13 Oct 1873, and was signed for by William L. WYLIE, as Guardian of the Heirs of Mary WYLIE. I'm assuming that William L. WYLIE was the widower of Mary Hindman WYLIE, but can't determine where they lived or when she died. As all the daughters of John HINDMAN and his first wife, Nancy HALL, were raised in Armstrong County, it seems likely the daughters married men from Armstrong County, although in the case of Robert W. CAMPBELL, this was not so. The 1870 census for East Franklin Township, Armstrong County, shows William WYLIE, age 47, with wife Rosannah J., 35, and children, Laird, 9, Ross Hall, 4, and Ella Jane, 2. Does anyone know if Rosannah was the second wife of William WYLIE, who helped him to raise the children from his deceased first wife Mary? Jim Hindman

Sorry For Cross Posting. Feel free to pass along this message. I have received so many helpful responses from other researchers on the various Pa lists, that I want to help also. I used to make my research materials collection available for on site use at our family bookstore. I had some wonderful researchers come in and make use of the collection. And I enjoyed talking with all of them. Since we moved the bookstore to Brandon Fl., the new location does not have sufficient space for me to make my research materials collection available for on site use at the store. I manage the bookstore 6 days a week and do not have the time to do look ups, but I am making the research materials available for free on site use in my home. This would have to be on Sunday as that is my only day off. If anyone lives in the area and thinks something in the materials would be helpful to them, email me and we can schedule a time for you to do some on site research. Hi! Is Climax, PA, in Madison Twp., Armstrong Co., PA? If not, where? I want to write for an obit for Frank(lin) Godfrey REITZ who died between 1910/1912 and 1920. In 1910 he is listed in Madison Twp. In his sister's obit of 1912 it said Frank was living in Climax, PA. Is there a library I could write to in that area? Or perhaps a funeral home you could suggest? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Bev in Calif.
I am looking for information on Jesse Brown Wilson and his family. I know he had a brother Albert killed in the Civil War, a sister Emma, mother was Elizabeth Brown, father Andrew Jackson Wilson. Elizabeth's parents were John and Mary Brown from "near Apollo". I have Jesse living with his grandparents in 1850 (8 years old). His mother was in Jackson Co, being cared for because of insanity. His father had left for Missouri. His sister and brother living with other relatives I guess. Elizabeth had a brother John. Jesse went to school, and taught in the area, and then enlisted in the Volunteers twice. He then went to a Theologian seminary after the war. He married Frances Ann Wallace of Butler Co in 1870 and then they went west to Oregon for two years. He died in 1873. If anyone has info on Jesse, his siblings, or parents or grandparents I sure need a clue. Thank you in advance. Mickey McCall

I am very familiar with S-K Publications, based in Wichita KS--in fact, knew when John Shunk started his company. These are Census books thru 1850, actual photographed pages (not transcribed by individuals) with a surname index. I have the complete set from 1800 thru 1850 for Armstrong Co. These books are extremely good, and a real addition to anyone's library. John does not have many such for PA because the counties were so large, but was convinced by a number of us to do Armstrong since many of us have roots there. Listers: Is anyone familiar with "S-K Publications"? Yesterday I was on this site: <<http://www.censusfinder.com/pennsylvania.htm>> and clicked on a site for Armstrong Co., PA, titled: "Surname Index 1800 - 1850 Federal Census". I was searching for my 2nd Gr-grf, Richard WILMOT. He was listed under the title: "SURNAME INDEX 1800 FEDERAL CENSUS" -- "WILMOT 137A-139B". Well, the interesting thing is that he was born in Morris Co. NJ, 1791, and was not living in Armstrong Co in 1800. So, I sent a query to the PA-CENSUS-Lookup list, and asking for a search for him in the 1850 census. I received a reply stating that he was NOT in Armstrong Co. in 1850, but was living in Wesmoreland Co. The surname was spelled WILLMOTT (no big deal, as he spelling is close enough). OK, a couple of questions. 1.) Has anyone searched this site for the Armstrong Co. 1850 census? 2.) What are the "S-K Publications"? 3.) Where or how can I access these publications for the 1850 census? Thanks so much for your time. Regards, Marybeth Corrigall ACMBJC@aol.com
