Hello Carol, Some years ago I had located the towns in Poland where my ancestors had come from. I hired two different researchers to find records for me at the church archives. They were successful in several cases and sent the records. That was probably 15 to 20 years ago, and their fee was $10 per hour. Things were much less expensive in Poland then. They have upgraded their fees today, but I no longer need records from Poland. In fact, the Family History Library in SLC had most of the Polish records I needed on microfilm. Recently I hired a researcher in D.C. to locate a record at NARA. His fee was $40 per hour, but I told him the record set and the name of the record I wanted, so he found it in one hour. Also hired a researcher in Carlisle, PA, to obtain digital photos of a book at the U.S. Army center there. Her fee was $45 per hour and it took her 2 hours, but having the book pages is priceless for my research. Hope that helps.
