Thanks for letting me know what was in the book you remembered, Bella. Might this photographer have traveled and come to Pittsburgh occasionally for a shoot from Harrisburg? It is 200 mi. but he probably could have taken a train. Would the 1880-1890s been too late for that in the cities? Would there have been photographers who specialized in Jewish family portraits?
