    3. If a product does exactly what you want it to do and a way you like why would you care if it was ever going to be updated? My main genealogy program is FTM 8.0. I've updated it twice and both times I decided I liked 8.0 better. But, for day to day use I much prefer to use PAF. I record all of my data in FTM, then use it for all of my reports I print out. Then I export a gedcom and import to PAF for day to day work. To think you would automatically update a program just because somebody decides to issue an upgrade seems pretty silly to me if your happy with what you're using. I have better things to do with my time than spending it trying to learn someones idea of a new and improved way of doing things when the old way works.
