    3. Listers Do not lose heart if you do not find what you want. Sometimes it takes a long time and answers come from unexpected places. Story time. I could not find where my great great grandmother immigrated from in Bavaria though I searched for 20 years. Then one day another lister ask if anyone knew anything about his great great uncle, brother of his great grandfahter. who he could find information on. I could reply that the Godfather of my great grandmother bore that name, and that another man whose name was that same as the great grandfather signed my gg grandfather's will. Needless to say we were related. From him I found out where she came from and places to write in Europe for more information HELEN in PGh -------------------------------------------------- From: <Bjpaquet@aol.com> Sent: Wednesday, February 26, 2014 6:30 PM To: <paallegh@rootsweb.com> Subject: Re: [ALL] funeral home records > So great that we can look through the index ourselves now at the PA > Archives website. 3. Hi group: Along with what Helen said both Rootsweb and Genforum have message boards for most surnames. You should post your message on both boards. Because of postings on message boards I had other researchers contact me and supplied the information I needed to prove those lines. One even supplied pages from a family bible for that line. When you do post to a board make sure to supply a good title with your request, such as name, approximate date of birth and place of birth so you catch the attention of other researchers. Posting looking for Thompson's to a Thompson board is redundant and will probably be ignored.
