    3. I am not of that era, but your survey made me think of the old family photos of my uncles driving to Pittsburgh in the 1930s to see family there. My mother was jealous because she was too young to go and had to stay in St. Louis. Apparently the guys had quite a fun time without parents! My favorite vehicle was my grandparent's 1960s convertible, and I felt so privileged to sit between them on a ride to the lake. My grandmother loaned me a scarf as we drove listening to, "Itsy, Bitsy, Teenie, Weenie, Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" on the AM radio. She giggled like a shy schoolgirl at the words of that song! Pamela
