On Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 2 pm, the McKeesport Regional History and Heritage Center will host its second annual *Women's History Month Program*. Dr. Clarissa Confer, the Civil War historian at CALU and Director of the LaDonna Harris Indigenous Peoples Institute, will present a program on "Women During the American Civil War." Women, although not on the front lines, bore much of the hardship of the Civil War, and had to adjust to many changes during the war and then after, in a post-war society. This program will be held at the McKeesport Regional History & Heritage Center at 1832 Arboretum Drive, McKeesport PA 15132, and is free and open to the public. Call 412-678-1832 for more information.
