Friends--- Another comment. Where a person applied for naturalization is not necessarily where they were when it was granted. Sometimes they moved west, and the naturalization papers request was filed in one place, and some years later the papers/act granting naturalization was filed in their new location. I experienced a situation where papers were filed in Allegheny County PA in the 1870s, but by the time it was granted, they had moved west and the naturalization was finalized in Howard County Nebraska.
