Anyone familiar with either of these two names? Looking for a cousin of my Mother's named Ammon or Ammonds, with similar dates. A possible Kravetz connection as well. TIA> Marybeth acmbjc@aol.com ================================================================================================ Subject: AMMONS Ammons, Mary E., 1917 - 2008, married to Vernon 05 June 1943, (contributed by Rich Boyer) Ammons, Vernon G., 1917 - 2006, married to Mary 05 June 1943, (contributed by Rich Boyer)
Although I am not related to the Ammons, I do know some lived in Columbiana County, Ohio. According to the HISTORY OF COLUMBIANA COUNTY, a Joshua and William lived in Hanover township. There was also a Elizabeth Ammons that married a Andrew Martin who emigrated from Pennsylvania around 1801 and settled in Middleton twp. Elizabeth Ammons and her parents came from Virginia to Columbiana Co. about the same time. Andrew and Elizabeth married in 1804 and had nine children. Hope this helps.
