You might find help by going to the www.jewishgen.org and go to the town site. They frequently will give the old name & a new name. This site is good for Poland & other places, such as Germany, etc. It is an interesting site and very helpful if you are looking for Jewish or non-Jewish ancestors. I took a class at one of the national conferences & found it very helpful.
