Listers and Diane: The following are emails from the LAMBIE rootsweb surname list that I subscribe to. A sister of my great-grandfather, Robert Thomson (1815--1883), one Margaret L. Thomson (1808--1887) was married to John Lambie. I have learned a lot from this list, as it is very active and the data and info provided is quite interesting. Anyhow, there has been a discussion about Lambie's in Allegheny Co., and I thought you might find these posts of interest. Would like to hear from anyone with connections to Margaret Thomson and John Lambie. Marybeth Subject: Re: [LAMBIE] Allegheny Lambie Research To: lambie@rootsweb.com I have the mariage of Penelope to William Allen, and they had ten children. Does this agree with your researches? I have a photo of her. And I have been told the story of Jack Lambie flying the Atlantic. I have a newspaper cutting somewhere, must dig it out. Jack rang my mother (Betty Lambie Rees) when he reached London, where she was living, and came to call! I think he flew over, solo, for the coronation of King George VI in 1937, but I have no evidence, only family hearsay.
