Actually Larry, anything you come across. A burial would be great. a death notice in the paper or an article in a paper would be helpful My problem is that the Bingham St Church today seems to have no record of the cemetery. In fact I get the impression from them that they do not think it ever existed. I am getting no response from my inquires to them for information. I have tried contacting the church, the bishopric and the help center with not response. I am trying to build a file of information to confirm its existence so that maybe they would be more interested in finding the old records. It would be a shame for this history to be lost. Helen: Go to the Historic Pgh. site and search for Bingham, you'll find lots of mention of the church, including some history. It's in the second link that comes up. Larry On 2/6/2011 7:25 AM, roger@fyi.net wrote: > Actually Larry, anything you come across. Thanks again Larry, This is great. Unfortunately I have not been able to print it out. I will bookmark the site and I am sure my sons will be able to do it for me HELEN Helen: > Here's your proof. Helen, I had the same problem with the local Methodist "office". They had no record of a Methodist church in Banksville. The land and/or the church building itself reportedly was a donation from Eli Neeld and the mere existence is documented in some old maps which I duplicated and sent to the office to show them that their records weren't as good as they presumed. Unfortunately that was also the extent of the info as they now know of its existence but that's it. The church later merged with the Dormont Methodist church but that is the extent of Dormont's records. I hope you have better luck in your search.
