My Grandfather, Norman C. Collier (1897-1964) of Wilkinsburg served in the military from April 18, 1918 through December 13, 1918 according to a Record of Burial Place of Veteran card I found on Ancestry.com. World War I ended in November of 1918. My question is: was his service so short because WWI was over? Did they muster out all these new recruits coming in because they no longer needed them? Probably drafted for the duration of the war, not a volunteer. Les
