At this moment there are 348 days, 18 hours, 30 min, and....40 seconds until the release of the 1940 Census: April 2, 2012. ........Course, in the time for typing that info it¹s already changed and continues to count down, second by second! Census would have been released 72 years after the 1940 census day: April 1, 1940. BUT April 1, 2012 is a Sunday! No April Fools, either! Cari Thomas
I remember when the 1930 census came out - there were lines waiting to look at it - what can we expect this time? as it been available for indexing by people who were required to keep it secret or ???? I want it indexed and have all the names that I'm interested in underlined! Is that asking too much? Barbara
What's going to be fun is finding myself and my husband. I always said I wanted to live long enough to see this. I think I may have a chance... ~Bev in Calif. P.S. Barbara and I have met. She lives not far from me... pretty close as a matter of fact! And we were born in the same town near Pittsburgh. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barbara/Bill" <bandbpompei@comcast.net> To: <paallegh@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, April 19, 2011 3:33 PM Subject: [ALL] 1940 census index? >I remember when the 1930 census came out - there were lines waiting to look > at it - what can we expect this time? as it been available for indexing > by > people who were required to keep it secret or ???? > > I want it indexed and have all the names that I'm interested in > underlined! > Is that asking too much? > > Barbara > > > ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ > > Visit our Allegheny County, PA Website: http://www.rootsweb.com/~paallegh/ > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > PAALLEGH-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message
