    2. Greetings to Tim, Also good to note that ALL the counties in Pennsylvania collected Death records between 1893-1906. The Western PA Genealogical Society has produced a book of the index to those entries at the County. If you find an entry in that index book for your relative, you can send to WPGS for $5.00 and they will send the copy of the actual item to you. Index is sorted alphabetically, then by municipality. No one in Armstrong County has done a publication like that, however the original volumes of the records are available at the Courthouse in Kittanning. They may not pay the most but players do not want to leave and those that are not conducting themselves or are critical of the team, we seem to get rid of. If you travel, there is almost in every town and across the world a Steelers Bar. This is a long shot. The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh has a PA department. That is for genealogy. I list below the records they have. They do have deaths in the period you want. Cost will be $ 10 I believe for each name. Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, PA Department, has extensive research material: http://www.clpgh.org/locations/pennsylvania/ The microfilm collection includes: Pittsburgh Newspapers PA Federal Census 1790-1930 Pittsburgh Telephone Directories 1880-2002 Allegheny City/Pittsburgh City Directories 1813-1975 Index of Marriage Notices 1786-1910 Death Notices 1786-1913 and 1963 to date Pittsburgh & Allegheny County Births & Deaths 1870-1905 Request form: http://www.clpgh.org/locations/pennsylvania/ResearchRequestForm.pdf Did you look here: http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/allegheny/death-index.htm There is a group of Allegheny email volunteers reading old newspapers from Google. Then recording them and then they get worked on and then uploaded to the internet. We just added 5700 records and we are just shy or just over 60,000 deaths recorded in the last 15 months. You may want to join the Allegheny County email list as you would get notified each time the list is updated. paallegh@rootsweb.com JR Jamieson jr@jjamieson.com 412 343 9264 Home of the Steeler Nation ----- Original Message ----- From: StarkT@aol.com To: jr@jjamieson.com Sent: Sunday, March 27, 2011 9:14 PM Subject: Re: [RAOGK-Req] Pennsylvania Allegheny JR Thank you for responding so quickly. The deaths of the three children all occurred between 1900 and 1910 in Pennsylvania, but the exact details were not recorded. If you have a suggestion I'll run with it. tim p.s. wish we had a football team that we could embrace - your Steelers are great. In a message dated 3/27/2011 8:27:22 P.M. 3. Hello Bella, Does the WPGS in Pittsburgh sell the book of death records? If so, what do they charge? ~Blessings, Bev in Calif. ----- Original Message ----- From: <lapiu.bella1@verizon.net> To: <paallegh@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, March 28, 2011 8:19 AM Subject: Re: [ALL] [RAOGK-Req] Pennsylvania Allegheny > > Greetings to Tim, > Also good to note that ALL the counties in Pennsylvania collected Death > records between 1893-1906.
