Thanks. My husband had his grandfather's and siblings in an orphanage in Pittsburgh at that time and they all died except for his grandfather. Their last name was Spath. Years ago I wrote to the diocese of Pittsburgh and was able to get information on them. The name was often misspelled in records but is listed correctly in this census.
