I am researching Cowan. Henry Cowan immigrated from Ireland in the 1700's to settle in Allegheny. His family had immigrated to Ireland from Scotland. He married Jane Allen. They had nine children. sons John born 1789 who married Sarah Proudfit. They moved to Ohio then to Iowa. Hugh born 1796 ? Any information about the sons and daughters would be appreciated.
