Ruth Ann: The only mention of Morgan in the book is; "Robert Hood Sr., was born in 1821, and died in 1894. His first wife was a Miss Morgan. 2 Sons were born to this couple; Morgan Hood, who died in young manhood by drowning in the Ohio river while swimming, and Robert Lincoln Hood Jr., who died a few years ago." I don't have any info for the other townships. This William Morgan was in the Federal Census of Moon Twp in 1800 and 1810 then in later census records in Findley Twp which was made of Moon Twp in 1830. Court records indicate he had a son named Samuel of the proper age to be Samuel Neely Morgan. I would like to know what the maiden name was of each of his two wives. Was it Neely? Was his son Samuel a Samuel Neely Morgan? > > Do you have similar records for Fayette Twp and South Fayette Twp (after 1830)? Another possible family head was a HUGH MORGAN (b: abt 1765; d: July 5, 1848 in Fayette Twp) who had a son named Samuel of similar age as SNM. Hugh Morgan was a resident of Fayette Twp from the 1790 Census to his death. > > Responses would be greatly appreciated. > > Ruth Ann Morgan Eitel > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Larry Thompson<mailto:lt0168@epix.net> > To: Allegheny Mailing list<mailto:paallegh@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Thursday, January 13, 2011 9:53 AM > Subject: [ALL] Moon Township > > > Hi group: > If anyone has ancestors from Moon Township, I have C.
