George BEILSTEIN and his wife Elizabeth were born in Hesse Darmstadt and came to Pennsylvania before 1850. In 1860 they lived in Allegheny with 8 children. Their son Albert (b. 1852) married Elizabeth TISCHERT (sometimes spelled TACHART) and they had 7 children. Daughter Ella married Carl BERNTHALER, conductor of the Pittsburgh Festival Orchestra. These BEILSTEINs were likely related to the BEILSTEIN family involved in the Pittsburgh news sensation of 1898 (murder, suicide, escape from mental hospital). Carol B.
