Starting at the beginning of the alphabet, here's a family I'm researching for a friend. These ALLENs are African American. Delaware ALLEN (given name may have been Dellie Ware or similar) was born in Virginia about 1880. He worked as a plasterer and lived in Michigan in 1920. He married Lou Jennie DAVIS about 1923. In 1930 they lived in East Deer Township, Allegheny Co., Penn., with four sons and a daughter. Apparently the family continued to live in the Pittsburgh area. According to the SSDI he died in 1970.
