I am trying to locate the church/cemetery where the family of Joseph and Mary Byrne may be buried. Census records show they lived on Webster Ave, Craig St and then on Maripoe - 1900 to 1930. Joseph died before 1910, Mary after 1950 and a daughter Loretta (a high school teacher) in 1971. Other children were Edward J, Mary J, Bernard A and Joseph T (he became a priest). Any help would be appreciated. Pat
I Google Rev.John T. Byrne and found him in Norm's listing for St. Mary"s Cemetary. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~njm1/stmygp.htm Unfortunately he is only one listed because it is listing of Pgh Diocese Clergy buried there. There are a few Bryne in section D and one in C Jim Geiser ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pat Forshort" <menu659@hotmail.com> To: <paallegh@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, January 16, 2011 12:18 PM Subject: [ALL] Catholic cemetery near Craig, Maripoe and Webster Ave > > > I am trying to locate the church/cemetery where the family of Joseph and > Mary Byrne may be buried. Pat -- Possibly either Minersville Cemetery, or defunct Oakland Cemetery. Many Oakland Cemetery interments were re-interred in Mt. Royal Cemetery. They may be listed on my web listings at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~njm1/tombs.htm Norm Pat Forshort wrote: > > I am trying to locate the church/cemetery where the family of Joseph and Mary Byrne may be buried.
