Judging from the birth of their children they moved from Monroe Co., Ohio to Pittsburgh ca. 1870/1871. Their children were: Clara (1870 -?) m. THEIS bef. 1900 and widowes by 1900 Albert (1871 - ?) m. Ellen ? by 1897 Andrew (1873 - ?) m. Anna ? abt 1896 John J. (1876 - ?) m. Katie ? abt 1897 Frank F. (1878/1882 - 1934?) m. Sue ? bef 1907 Herman (1881 - ?) m. Minnie DRISCOLL 1st and 2nd Mary ? (1891-?) William deceased by 1889 Agatha (1883 - ?) George S. 1885 - ?) Bertie (b. bef 1889) They are written up in "History of Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania, Vol. 2, pg. 683. His surname is spelled BURKHARD there and it states that his parents, John and Barbara came to PA in 1888, but I have first child, Clara, born in Ohio in 1870 and second child, Albert, born in 1871 in PA. It also states that William was deceased at time of book's publication of 1889. Herman was called Harmon. in book. Any info. appreciated Bonnie Burkhardt
