    3. Googling shows: TRUE BILL, practice. These words are endorsed on a bill of indictment, when a grand jury, after having heard the witnesses for the government, are of opinion that there is sufficient cause to put the defendant on his trial. Formerly, the endorsement was Billa vera, when legal proceedings were in Latin; it is still the practice to write on the back of the bill Ignoramus, when the jury do not find it to be a true bill. 2. OK, folks, I need some help with this one. In a Sept 1886 issue of The Indiana Progress newspaper that I've been scouring in the Historic Newspaper Collection at Ancestry.com, I found the following item in a Court News column. Tell me what your best guesses are for translating this. "Com. vs. (male person#1), indict., seduction and F. And B., (female person #2), prox. True Bill." I think it says: Commonwealth vs male, indicted for seduction fornication and bastardy, female is prosecuting (bringing the charges against the male). I don't know what True Bill means. Now remember this is from 1886. Care to guess? This is not a test. I'm doing some lookups for a friend. I previously found an obit for the female, who died in 1938, was born in 1870. I think there was a son born of that seduction, making the female abt. 15-16 years old at the time. Bella

I could not find where my great great grandmother immigrated from in Bavaria though I searched for 20 years. Then one day another lister ask if anyone knew anything about his great great uncle, brother of his great grandfahter. who he could find information on. I could reply that the Godfather of my great grandmother bore that name, and that another man whose name was that same as the great grandfather signed my gg grandfather's will. 3. Hi group: Along with what Helen said both Rootsweb and Genforum have message boards for most surnames. You should post your message on both boards. Because of postings on message boards I had other researchers contact me and supplied the information I needed to prove those lines. One even supplied pages from a family bible for that line. When you do post to a board make sure to supply a good title with your request, such as name, approximate date of birth and place of birth so you catch the attention of other researchers. Posting looking for Thompson's to a Thompson board is redundant and will probably be ignored. 3. I would try the various cemeteries in the area to see if they "inherited" any funeral home records. Is Wilmerding a small town? Hopefully somebody might know what became of the records among the various cemetery association folks. Of course, to get cemetery association info, you might have to start with the local churches. 2. I have a question... you said "She was interred there on 14 June, 1929, per the Cemetery record. Jones Funeral Home was the Funeral Director of record" Where did you get that info? Do you have an obit? From what paper and what date? I, too, just finished looking at the PA Online Death Indexes for 1928, 29, 30 and found nothing for her under either Anna Marino, Anna Zimmerman, Nancy Marino, Nancy Zimmerman. I also used the google newspapers and looked at the classified obits for June 12 and June 13 and found no death record for her. 3. Bella: I've been a subscriber so long I'm also not sure, but reading the press releases about the agreement with the state archives stated that the records would be free on Ancestry. 1. Re: [ALL] Ancestry subscription & etc.
    2. Well, Larry, if Ancestry.com is going to have them on their site, is there anything on their site that is free? I've subscribed so long that I don't know whats free & whats not. Does anyone regularly use Ancestry for free records? What are the free records?
