John, there was no message just the surnames I am researching. Although my last name is O'Donnell I have no O'Donnell connection in the Pittsburgh area. I did however have CARR relatives in "Allegheny City" in the 1800's and probabley into the 1900's. I don't know if any of my CARR family are still in the area as I have never met any CARR relative. My connection is that my great granmother was MARGARET CARR. If you CARR's friends think we may have common ancestors I would be glad to share information with them. pat_odonnell@comcast.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Canning" <john.canning39@gmail.com> To: <paallegh@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 07, 2011 6:47 PM Subject: Re: [ALL] Roll Call Markey, Carr, Doyle >I did not get the message --I've good friends who are O'Donnells and Carrs > from the North Side of Pittsburgh > > On Thu, Jan 6, 2011 at 6:25 PM, Patrick O'Donnell > <pat_odonnell@comcast.net>wrote: > >> >> >> ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ >> >> Visit our Allegheny County, PA Website: >> http://www.rootsweb.com/~paallegh/ >> ------------------------------- >> To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to >> PAALLEGH-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the >> quotes in the subject and the body of the message >> > > ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ > > Visit our Allegheny County, PA Website: http://www.rootsweb.com/~paallegh/ > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > PAALLEGH-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message

They are not on google archives. They are at the Library of Congress site, http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/search/pages/. Just scroll down the box until you see it, then do your search. Have come across two obits/death notices for a Mollie Bingey HALL, 10 May 1899, and Alice Kelly CAVANAUGH, 21 Apr 1913. The Hall, Kelly, and Cavanaugh surnames are family connections, and Bingey rings a strong bell, but I can't match either of these persons to my lines. You know how you get that "gut feeling", but I am at a loss as to how they fit in. Strange thing is a death notice for John HALL, a half-brother of my great-grandmother, Mary Anna nee Kelly Rice appears in the Pittsburgh Press, p. 8 on the 10th of May 1899. The death notice dated 10 May 1899, for Mollie Bingey Hall, states she died on the 18th of Apr, 1899. Could it be these two were married, then seperated or divorced? If so, strange that their deaths were so close together. And yet, maybe their is no connection between the two. As to ALice Kelly Cavanaugh she was married to Michael Cavanaugh, and the mother of a Margaret DUFFY. Any of these names look familiar to anyone? Willing to share what I have if you see a connection.
