It was not age that necessarily brought about the end for her physician says that heart disease and dropsy was the cause of her death. Mrs. Yingling had been sick but several months and up to that time had enjoyed every faculty and was wonderfully preserved for her great age. She was born in Adams county, near East Berlin, her maiden name being Deardorff and lived for more than a cetnruy in the county. Now, this has been driving me crazy as I am descended from Yinglings, Flickingers and Deardorffs from that same area. I simply can't figure out who she was. I have a very large database of my own. No luck. I've tried the census. No luck. "The Yingling Genealogy" only lists one Deardorff, but she married an Adam Yingling and was born in 1819. There was a John Flickinger in Berwick township, but he died in 1904 and was married to Ida Fissel, who died in 1879. He did not remarry. Can anyone help? I noticed the surname of DEARDORFF in your post and wonder if you have any by that surname who married ZEIGLER/ZIEGLER/ZIGLAR/ZEGLAR/SEGLAR/etc.? or any that married a FICKES?
