    1. [PAADAMS] 1860 Census Help - Berwick Township
    2. Sue Ashton
    3. Hello, I have googled to find this information and can't seem to find the answer. I have a family found in both the1850 and 1870 censuses as living in Berwick Township but can't seem to find them in the 1860 census. I don't have any reason to suspect that they have moved out of the area but am open to considering it. As a matter of fact, I put nothing else but Berwick, Pennsylvania in the search screen in ancestry and get no results. I've also searched using only the husband's first name, his birth year plus/minus two years and browsed through the 250 or so results and no one jumped out as being the correct family. With all this being said, my question ... is Berwick Township missing from the 1860 census? Or ... if someone wants a challenge maybe there will be better results. The family I'm searching is Calvin (1820 - 1898) and Margaret (1826 - 1904) CARNES. In 1860 the children that I know of are Calvin Nicholas (b 1844), John (b 1846), and Mary Jane (b 1859). I appreciate any help and suggestions. Regard, Suz Dearborn, MI USA

    3. Using HeritageQuest, we could find no one in Berwick Township in 1860 by putting in a common name and filtering on Berwick. Also could not find any in the LDS Census Pilot Project. It appears that Berwick Township is not listed for some reason. Thanks!
