Thank you Lorna, for your help and for passing my post to your brother. I had not been to that web site before. My information on the Flying Camp was from a deceased double cousin whose 4 x grandparents were Charles Wilson and Esther Smith. Charles is a confirmed patriot with the DAR. I descend via Robert Wilson and Mary Smith. Yes, the Smith sisters married the Wilson brothers. The sisters' father was a William Smith whose land in the Manner of the Maske was purchased directly from William Penn. There was a William Smith from that part of PA who was very prominent in the Revolution; however, I have not yet researched to see if he is my William Smith. My double cousin Martha Hotchkiss passed away last year before she was able to share her research on William Smith. I am a past chapter regent in the DAR so I would like to be able to prove that my Robert Wilson served in the Revolution. I found a Robert Wilson mentioned in the Flying Camp in an Adams Co. History book; however, I am not sure if he is my Robert Wilson. Sometimes brothers joined up at the same time. I thought that maybe info on the Flying Camp might list where the men were from. Thank you again. I would enjoy hearing from your brother.
