Hi List: I am researching the Cobean/Cobane/Cobain family of Antrim & Tyrone Ireland. I believe the family originated in Galway, Scotland, moved to Antrim, Ireland ca 1640, and to Tyrone, Ireland ca 1710. I believe the Alexander & Samuel Cobean family of early Gettysburg and Adams County , were sons of one of the Cobean brothers of Tyrone, or Antrim (possibly John). I would like to communicate with anyone who is researching this family in the mid-late 1700's to early 1800's. I believe the family emigrated to the Gettysburg area, ca 1760. I have extensive reasearch on this family in Ireland, Canada and Australia. I believe all Cobeans can be traced back to the John Cobean family that moved from Galway, Scotland, to Antrim, Ireland, in the Plantation of Ulster, ca 1640. Regards Jim White Naples, Florida
