    3. Hi there, Okay, I've got a question.  Adams County didn't become a county until 1840.  Before that the territory was part of York County.  So, how did Adams County have Occupational Tax Processing? Is there a source for these records online? I'd like to check them for ancestor listings. Thanks. Susan Alexander Llauget My family coat of arms ties at the back.  Is that normal?

    3. Susan, Adams became a county in 1800. The source for these records in located at the Adams County Historical Society in Gettysburg, PA. They are not online. They are listed by every 3 years by township within Adams at that time.
