Hello Dr. Hively, I'm sorry that I neglected to add the important information that my grandfather, who owned the land in Adams County was Grover Cleveland Thompson.  My mother said that he owned it before she was born in 1925.  So, I'm thinking that it had to be the 1910's or 1920's as my grandfather was born in 1884 in Pinchtown, Adams County.
