Jacob Miller died March 20, 1832 age 80. He had no will so the estate went to the Orphan's court. There are 9 Orphan court records concerning Jacob's estate. In several Samuel is listed as the son of Jacob. Also in 1833 taxes for Hamilton Twp Samuel has 108A of land where he had none before and in the taxes it says they are transferred from Jacob Miller. Jacob's other children in 1832-33 are Peter, Jacob, Michael, Margaret and Lydia. In 1834 and 35 Samuel is listed as a potter with 107 acres. Samuel was born July 21, 1796 according to the Abbottstown Reformed church record to Jacob and Eva, and Michael was born before 27 Oct 1799 when he was baptized in the same church. I don't know if Eva is a 2nd wife or not. Jacob was a widower in the 1820 census. Jacob has 200A in Berwick Twp in 1799 and 333A in Hamilton Twp in 1817 and 1818 and Samuel shows up as single first 1818 in Hamilton meaning he's 21 years old which fits with his 1796 birth.
