Can anyone tell me where I might be able to locate the verdict for a criminal case that was heard in Adams County in 1880-- Com v Manock? I recently stumbled onto 'The York Legal Record, Volume I, 1881' on Google Books. which contains the December 1880 Quarterly Sessions. The first case is Q.S for Adams Co.; Com v Manock, a Criminal case with an indictment of adultery. The charge to the jury for this case is written in great detail but there is no verdict. Joseph Manock, the accused, was my great-grandfather so I am interested in finding the verdict of the case. However, I am really out of my depth as I don't know anything about any criminal system during this period and especially in the US, so I don't know where to begin the search. Can anyone suggest where I might be able to locate the verdict of this trial? Many thanks for any suggestions or assistance, Helen Beach Toronto, Canada
