I have a copy of the obituary from the Adams County News dated May 17, 1913: I reads: Mrs. Jacob Hartman Died at Her Home in Hamilton Township on Saturday. Mrs. Elizabeth Hartman, widow of the late Jacob Hartman, died at her home in Hamilton township, at 1 o'clock Saturday morning after an illness of several years from a complication of diseases. Death was probably hastened by a fall which she reieved last Sunday, resulting in the breaking of her lower limb. Her age was 74 years 1 month and 29 days. She was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs Samuel Miller of Adams county. Her husband died about six years ago. She leaves three children, Wilson Hartman at home; Josiah Hartman of Dillsburg; and J. R. Hartman of Brown's Mill. Also one sister, Miss Susan Miller, at home Funeral Tuesday, May 13th, services in the Lutheran church at abbottstown at 9 a.m., Rev. F. C. sternat, Officiating. I calulated the birth as 11Mar1839. I figure she went by Catherine as her mother's first name was Elizabeth. Does this make sense.
