Dear Dr. Hively, I am a direct descendant of the Bleakney/Blakely/Blakeney/various spellings families in the areas mentioned, but have not found land records for them. Could you please check to see if the index has anything similar to the above spellings? They intermarried with the Moorhead families and the Fergus families. However, I think the Moorhead family were in Hamilton twp. Timeframe is quite early: possibly from 1730s to 1798 and then into early 1800s. Many of them moved on into Huntingdon, Indiana and Armstrong counties. Thanks for your time. I do have a Robert Moorehead in the Huntington - Latimore Townships area, beginning 1749. No Blakely's.
