Thanks for the info. We have a DNA for my husband's cousin Robert Hartman 11 Nov 1917 and have had some good matches according to the company's analysis but get stopped when we come to really matching people. Our family is from Pennsylvania and Ohio and the other close DNA person is from W.Virginia and Illinois. So at this time, we are at a stand still. My documented info is Jacob Hartman 3 Aug 1820-20 Apr 1884 in York co, Pa. and then his father Jacob Hartman 19 Jan. 1789-12 Feb. 1858. I don't know where this Hartman was born other than the census says Pa. He is buried in York County. I would like to believe that Andrew is the next older generation but this still doesn't connect us with the family from W.V. & Ill. So we keep struggling. Thanks again for your help.
