Notice Andrew married Margaret Elizabeth Alwine daughter of Samuel Alwine and Susan Stormbaugh/Stormbach Also, Mary Yake, which I think is a sister to John Francis Yake who married Anna "Annie" Mary Alwine. Also, there are Adams County Hemler's married into the Hermanus Arnold and Catharine Allwein descendants. So I think somehow all three wifes are connected some how. The only one I know of is Margaret Alwine. Does anyone have any information on this? Mrs. William Yount Dies at her Home in Littlestown. ANDREW KEFFER Andrew Keffer died Saturday, May 11, at 11.15 p. m. , at his home, McSherrystown, from a complication of diseases, aged 71 years. Mr. Keffer, who was a native of Adams county, was a well known citizen. He is survived by a widow; one brother, Frank Keffer, of Oxford Road, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Staub, of York, and Mrs. Jacob Little, of McSherrystown. He was married three times, his first wife being, Miss Margaret Alwine, of Conewago township. Born to them were two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Eckenrode, of Steelton, and Mrs. Agnes Chambers, of Philadelphia. His second wife was Miss Mary Yake, of Oxford Township. Of this union one daughter Mrs. George Rutters, of Midway, survives. His third wife was Miss Agnes Hemler, of Mt. Pleasant township, to whom he was married in 1882. Mr. Keffer was a carpenter in his young days. He was a veteran of the Civil War, having enlisted October 16, 1862, under the late William H. Bragunier, in company H, 165th Regiment Pennsylvania militia and was honorably discharged in July, 1863, at Gettysburg. He enlisted August 27, 1864, in Company I 205 Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers. He was again honorably discharged June 2, 1865, at Alexandria, Virginia. After returning from the army he was engaged in farming until about 18 years ago, when he moved to McSherrystown, and lived there until his death. Funeral Tuesday, May 14, high mass of requiem in St. Mary's church, McSherrystown, at 9 a. m., Rev. L. Aug. Reudter officiating. Interment in St. Mary's cemetery.
