The work is signed on the bottom of the birth record page by the scrivner: "George E. FRANCK, Siesholzville Berks Co. Pa." These records were likely executed shortly after the September 1873 birth date of daughter Anna Matilda STAUFFER. The parents were Franklin STAUFFER, born in Oley Township April 1 1844, and Malinda Rebecca STAUFFER, born in Pike Township in 1852. [Editor's Note: I read the marriage record as being that of Franklin STAUFFER and Malinda REICHERT? on 11 January 1873. The family record appears to me to begin with Franklin STAUFFER, [son of] Henry STAUFFER and frau Anna [maiden name] WITT, [who was born] 1st? April 1844. [Next entry] Malinda Rebecca STAUFFER, [daughter of] John REICHERT? and frau Sarah [maiden name] REICHERT?, [who was born] 24th May 1852.
