Any help appreciated in finding more information on my John Smith. John Smith was living in Huntington Township prior to March of 1784 when his will was written. He was married to Margaret ?, and children named in his will are: son - George, son - John, daughter Eleanor, wife of Robert Crawford, daughter Elizabeth, wife of James Smith, and Hugh Smith. There may have been another son William, who predeceased his father John. They may have lived elsewhere before 1777 when Margaret was confirmed at Christ Church {Old White church} at York Springs. The land of John Smith has not been located adjacent to James or Edward Hatton or Christ Church. Any land records, tax records or any records, very much appreciated. I have noticed there were many men named John Smith in Chester County, but have nothing to connect to any of these John Smith names. Marriage dates and spouses names of George Smith, John Jr, Marriage dates of Eleanor to Robert Crawford, Elizabeth to James Smith and Hugh to Mary Hatton, also deeply appreciated.
