In BEDFORD COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA CEMETERIES Vol. 2 by Robetta E. & Thomas C. Imler 1975 by AREA KEYS Pg. 161 Heading: Lutheran Church Cemetery at Twin Churches South of Dillsburg Penna. Copied 7/1969 "George Mark Imler (b) Germany 1705 (d) York Co. Pa. 1783 or 8" On this one page are listed a few transcriptions which are: George Mark Imler David Border Fickes family and Bushi/Bushey These are the families that went to Bedford County (not sure about Bushi) about 1800. This is the Lower Bermudian Church in what is now Latimore Twp. York Co. PA. It was originally a Union church of Reformed and Lutheran. The Reformed church moved across the street. The directions given to the church are correct. My assumption that this is the Lower Bermudian Church cemetery is based on the description of "Twin Churches" and the stone of Abraham Fickes. I have a picture of the Abraham Fickes stone b. 1744. There are transcriptions of the CHURCH RECORDS records including one transcribed by William J. Hinke in Adams County Church Records of the 18th Century by F. Edward Wright. With a quick glance at the index for the church records, there do not seem to be any listings for Imler. There was another family that was a member of Lower Bermudian Church that moved to Bedford Co. PA and that was Stephen Wonders (Wonder/Wonders/Wunder) the son of Stephen Wonders senior. I am looking for a TRANSCRIPTION of the CEMETERY. Adams County Historical Society does not seem to have one. Is anybody following the Wehler family (which married into the Wonder family)? Thomas Imler in his books sometimes made mistakes so if possible you need to check the info given. Andy
