I am trying to find more info on an ancestor, Frederick Neuhofer, who was born in Germany and moved at some time to Danville, Montour Co., Pa. His name was also spelled Newhofer and Neuhoefer on various documents. Today I found an 1880 census entry for John Newhofer, 36, born Maryland of German parents. I have a strong hunch that he might be Fred's brother. Does anyone out there know anything about John, or have access to any other records that might include him? He was living in Butler, Adams Co, at the time of the 1880 census. Any help much appreciated!
