I wonder if any of you on this list are descendants of the SANDERS family who in the mid to late 1700s lived in the area of York Co., Pa. (now Adams Co.) where Conewago Chapel (Catholic) is located. I believe they moved to this area from Berks Co and/or Lancaster Co., Pa. My greatgrandmother was Joanna (MARSHALL) WISE, born in1823 in Conewago Twp., Adams Co., Pa. Her father was John MARSHALL, Jr. and her mother was Margaret McCLAIN. I'm trying to determine if there is any truth to a note I found in the John T Reily journals . Joanna was reported as saying that her greatgrandmother SANDERS traveled to York Co.(now Adams Co.) from Lancaster Co.with Father Pelentz when he went to Conewago Chapel. So far I haven't been able to find a SANDERS family that fits. Has anyone heard of a SANDERS connection to the MARSHALLS or McCLAINS? If I could get an answer to this it would be the best Christmas gift ever! Thanks for any help! Helen
