John Hartman born 1755, in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania Parents: George Hartman and Susan Schwartz Margaret Ritter was the first wife of John (Johannes) Hartman Margaret was born in 1744 in Salisbury Township, Pennsylvania) and died in 1787, (maybe, in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania). She married John Hartman, in 1774, in Salisbury Township. John and Margaret's four children were: Margaret, b. 1775 John, b. 1776, and died 22 Jun 1817 George, b. 1779, He married Polly Bishop Jacob, b. 1781 or 1782 (Note: another source said he was born in 1774), he married Catherine Bushey John (Johannes) Hartman's second wife was Margaret Ritter's sister (Maria) Magdalena Ritter. He married her in 1788. John and Magdalena's children were: Salomon, b. 26 Aug 1788 Maria Magdalena, b. 25 Sep. 1791; bap. 20 Nov 1791; sp. Jacob Ritter & Maria Philip, b. 24 Mar 1793, bap. 12 May 1793, sp. Malias Glass & Christin (sic) Catharina, b. 3 Apr 1795; bap. 3 May 1795; sp.
