Many of the people on this list are probably members of the Adams County Historical Society (ACHS). If not, I heartily encourage you to join. Their Web site, which contains information on membership and their research and other services, is at www.achs-pa.org I began volunteering there, a couple days a month, about a year ago. Volunteering has given me a great appreciation for the extensive, and often fragile, genealogical and historical source documents and other references that the ACHS has accumulated and is entrusted with preserving. I have also been very impressed by the small, committed, and frugal paid staff and the dedication of the volunteers, some of whom spend many days each month assisting researchers and performing other administrative and maintenance duties. Membership, and any donations above the basic membership, are critical to the survival of the ACHS and the resources found there. Bob Cluck
