Hi, 1. General question, what church records etc would be appropriate to find out more about the following Lutherans: Looking for family of JACOB WENDEROTT who married BARBARA MYER sometime prior to 1777. Her sister ANNA MARIE MYER also married a WINTEROTT sometime prior to 1777. 2. I would like to find more of the genealogy of those Wenderoths above . Casper Wenderoth appeared briefly in Lancaster Co but left to settle in the Frederick area well before when the kids above might have married. According to some Wenderoth researchers the family was in the area that later became the Littlestown area of Pa. Presumably these are the Wintrode families. Their brother JOSHUA MYER who married ROSINA MERCK in Lancaster Co apparently had his firstborn son, Jacob, born in the Littlestown area in 1780 and baptized at an unspecified church in 1780. [This per LDS IGI] By the 1790's he was a farm owner in the Mechanicsburg area of Cumberland Co. and, therfore, no longer in the Littlestown area. 3. Any idea what church in the Littlestown area may have these records for Joshua? I never could understand why the Myers girls would wind up marrying these Wenderoths who appeared so far away from their home in northern Lancaster Co. The clue may be through Peter Klien the founder of Littlestown. Joshua's wife above was the granddaughter of a Klein. Tony Hoover
