Adams Sentinel (Gettysburg, Pennsylvania) > 1829 > May > 6 We learn that a man named MARTIN, was killed on Thursday night last, near Mr. Mark's Tavern, on the Chambersburg turnpike, by the overturning of a wagon loaded with barrels of whiskey. He was, with his wife and child, riding in the wagon, at the time it was overturned; the latter escaped, but the man was instantly killed. They were traveling, it is said, from Loudon, in Franklin county, to Littles-Town, in this county.
