    2. Thank you for the info. Can the "Literary Era" be found anywhere? I have some notes from the 1899 publication and would love to find the July 1897 publication and Nov. 1898 publication. I wasn't even sure the "Literary Era" was the full name of the publication. I have a photo of ACM in his garb when he was presented to King George V. The family of Jesse Cook & Ruth McMillan (ACM's grandparents) 1. Mary Cook, b. 12/24/1833, Warrington, York Co.; mar. 10/1/1866, Menallen, Adams Co., Benjamin Barr Hardy, b. 10/10/1835; d. 12/23/1903. Mary died 10/4/1906, Aspers Station, Adams Co. 2. George M. Cook, b. 2/8/1836, Warrington, York Co.; mar. 9/7/1859, Gettysburg, Amanda Jane McGrail, b. 1837; d. aft 1926. George M. Cook was a pvt., Co. D, 49th Pennsylvania and he disappeared (was never seen again) on June 17, 1871, in Fulton Co., Pa. He was thought to have been robbed and murdered. 3. Jesse Kersey Cook, b. 10/14/1837, Warrington, York Co.; Jesse K. was drafted into the Army in May 1865 and died in a army hospital in Alexandria, Va., July 16, 1865. 4. Elmira Jane Cook, b. 10/9/1839, 'Cook's Mill,' Bendersville, Adams Co.; mar. 11/21/1867, Adams Co., her cousin, Charles D. Cook, b. 12/9/1838, York or Adams Co.; d. 9/28/1911. Elmira died 9/12/1914, both bur. Menallen Friends Mtg. Elmira accompanied her sister Sarah A. Cook to Gettysburg, Nov. 19, 1863. 5. Lewis Henry Cook, b. 6/8/1842, 'Cook's Mill,' Bendersville, Adams Co.; d. 12/8/1861, 'Cook's Mill,' Bendersville, Adams Co., never married. 6. Sarah A. Cook (1844-1937) Mother of Albert Cook Myers, went to Gettysburg, Nov. 19, 1863, sat on the platform with Pres. Herbert Hoover, Memorial Day 1932 at Valley Forge, Pa. ACM was with her at Valley Forge. 7. Ellis William Cook, b. 7/22/1846, 'Cook's Mill,' Bendersville, Adams Co.; mar. 9/14/1875, Martha Harris, b. 8/27/1853; d. 3/1/1895, both bur. Menallen Friends Mtg. 8. Rev. Albert Jacob Cook, b. 1/30/1849, 'Cook's Mill,' Bendersville, Adams Co.; d. 1930, mar. Milicent Bensoff. (1854-1947) Rev. Cook asked to be released from Menallen Friends Meeting in 1874 and is thought to have moved to Johnstown about this time. He and his wife survived the great Johnstown flood of 1889. Bob Cooke
