I am seeking any information on any Poole/Pool and Gregg family that were living in Adams Co PA before 1823. Bannister Poole/Pool b 21 Dec 1782 VA; 1814 was a distiller in Franklin Twp., Adams Co PA when he enlisted 28 Aug 1814 in CoBeans Battalion, PA Vols. married: 5 June 1819 in Franklin Twp., Adams Co PA to Mary "Polly" Gregg (b 31 Dec 1802 PA) Family appears in 1820 Franklin Co PA census and by 1823 they had moved to Summit Co OH and by 1840 were in Williams Co OH where Bannister Poole/Pool died 1869 and Mary Gregg Poole/Pool died in 1884. They were the parents of 14 children. Mary Gregg Poole/Pool applied for and received a widow's pension of $8.00 a month on Bannister's military service. Any information or clues as to where to search would be appreciated. Carole Gregory in CA
