Debra, Thank you for your interest and quick response. The second William Kauffman (1910 Census) is indeed the "correct" one. Unfortunately, neither of the Sloat's in your listing was my grandfather (John) or great grandfather (Henry). The latter was living in West Earl Township, Lancaster County at the time of his death in 1907. The 1920 Census entry for John Sloat is interesting because of several coincidences, namely - wife's name (Emma), father's name (Henry), daughter (Grace - my grandparents had a daughter named Anna Grace). This however, is a different John Sloat. Incidentally, the "preferred" spelling of the surname was actually SCHLOTT. Once again, thank you for the info. If you come across any additional ideas/information, I certainly would appreciate them. Lowell -----Original Message----- From: D.
