FOUND IN POOR CHILDREN OF YORK TAX LIST FOR 1831 JOSEPH REIDER FATHER OF; ELIZABETH 10, AND SUSANNA 7,.(WINDSOR) .......... AND IN 1827/28 JOSEPH REIDER FATHER OF; JOHN 7, (HOPEWELL TWP) ALSO: CANODOCHLY LUTHERAN CHURCH RECORDS SHOW A JOSEPH AND MARIA REITER AS PARENTS TO JOHN, BORN 22 FEB 1816 AND BAPTISED 30 OCT 1816. York Co Archives found will of Joseph Reider estimated time of birth to be 1770-90 of Lower Windsor Twp, York Co., PA. The will is witnessed on 29 Apr 1851 and filed 26 Aug 1851. The will lists his wife as Mary and names his 9 children as John, Daniel, Joseph, Jacob, George, Henry, Susan, Mary and Betsy. All sons and daughter Susan were to get equal shares but to his daughters Mary and Betsy went $5. His daughter Susan was married to Wm Hake of Chanceford Twp before 1843. His son John married William Hake's sister Catherine . Could Joseph been the son of Daniel Reider and Margaret Fissel who also appear in the Canadochly records? Anybody? Melissa Fitzkee
