Has anyone else detected the same condition???? Doug ---- Hi, Doug- Viruses CANNOT be transmitted via RootsWeb list mail. RootsWeb servers operate on a Linux system which isn't subject to Windows viruses. The Beagle/Bagle virus works by spoofing or forging the sender address (such as my address and "Charflax") and also copying the subject and message content from the infected computer. In all likelihood this means that SOMEONE on the list is infected with this virus and I'd hope that everyone scans their computer with an updated virus scanner -- but any viruses you are receiving are NOT coming FROM RootsWeb or coming through the list -- and they are not coming from the supposed sender addresses. I'd remind everyone that RootsWeb list mail will not come with attachments other than digests that some email programs treat as attachments on the receiving end. Joan, co-admin
